Teletrac Navman is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider leveraging location-based technology that empowers people managing mobile assets to move their business forward with certainty.

Our R&D team in Rosedale, Auckland is on the lookout for a Director of Product Management - Hardware & IOT to lead a team of Product Managers and Owners overseeing a broad portfolio of solutions in telematics devices, automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) data, cameras, connectors and accessories associated with firmware/software.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

As an experienced people leader, your influence and stakeholder management will be key to the successful delivery of key projects, both on time and within budget. This position will work across multiple time zones and will require you to manage a diverse team of skilled professionals remotely and in person. Your hands-on knowledge might also be needed from time to time.

You will be responsible for monitoring the performance of a team of product managers and owners, ensuring you build a culture of collaboration, support, and encouragement. You will also be required to do strategic market planning, creating business cases and plans for major investment decisions for your product portfolio. You will own and define the product roadmap and vision, driven by the voice of the customer through market and competitive analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Measure and report on portfolio financial, engagement, and usage KPIs.
- Manage device bill of material (BOM) costs.
- Lead pricing analysis and setup for new devices, peripherals, and accessories.
- Engage with Engineering, Ops, Sales, Marketing, and partners to launch and support new and existing solutions.
- EOL/Sunset legacy products as needed and provide a transition path for customers.
- Direct reporting oversight of a team of product managers and product owners.
- Monitor team performance, coaching, and development opportunities to improve individual and team performance. Building a team culture of collaboration, support and encouragement.

The skills we see as critical to succeed in this position:

- At least 10 years of experience as a product leader in Enterprise SaaS or IOT Hardware, ideally within the transport or telematics industry. Hardware and device experience is a must-have.
- A degree in Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent. Having an MBA would be a great advantage.
- At least five years’ experience managing teams, ideally globally.
- Experience working with 3rd party OEMs/ODMs developing hardware products and solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, SQL queries, Power BI, or similar. Excel wizardry will set you apart.
- Ability to travel internationally if required.
