**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**

The role of Identity and Access Management Consultant is to be part of the team that manages the lifecycle of digital identities for people, systems, services, and users at the University.

This team is responsible for how users within the University are provided an identity - and how it is enabled, protected, managed, and connected to all relevant services.

As part of the Universities Digital transformation there is a key, multiyear project to completely modernise and optimise the practice of identity management, the tools utilised, and the services supported.

**Mōu | Who You Are**
You can demonstrate you have worked successfully in a technical team environment and have experience with business analysis and/or system administration. You have some experience with Identity and Access Management, knowledge of Microsoft Identity Manager or a similar product will be ideal. Experience in an environment of comparable scale and complexity to the University and ideally within the Tertiary Education Sector will be preferred.

You also have:

- An empathy for, and delight in working with our customers.
- Demonstrated technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work within a team, and a delight in achieving team goals.
- Contribute to a work environment that champions excellence in education, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Experience working in an identity lifecycle practice, including creation, deletion and management of records.
- Experience with role-based access control
- Experience working in an environment where identity is part of an automated suite of services, connected to other key systems (eg HR, SMS)
- Ability to engage with kaimahi and ākonga, and to explain complex services in plain language
- Demonstrated ability to identify and interpret customer needs.
- Understanding of agile practices such as scrum and Kanban.
- Knowledge of security trends.
- Experience with IT audit and compliance.
