The Strategy & Economics Lead is a key leadership role and will report directly to the Group Director, Civil Infrastructure. The role is one of two leadership roles within the Infrastructure Advisory service offering, the other being the Strategic Asset Management Lead.
This role will preferably by based in Wellington (Auckland or Christchurch considered), with an immediate focus to provide infrastructure advisory services to central government clients. From this Wellington base, the role will lead and support the broader NZ team and support global AECOM business, to win and deliver infrastructure advisory commissions.

Role Ambition
To grow our business case practice through technical excellence and an ability to ‘open doors’ with new government clients (central and local), and to enhance our Infrastructure Advisory brand across New Zealand.
This individual will work in collaboration with our other Advisory Leaders, and Client Account Managers, leveraging our full suite of AECOM’s service offerings. They will also work with our NZ Business Lines Leaders (across Civil Infrastructure, Environmental and Energy, and Buildings + Places), and our national technical practice leads.
Key Responsibilities
**The Strategy & Economics Lead will be required to**:
1.Drive development of products and services within the Infrastructure Advisory, Strategy and Economics team
2. Build capability within the Infrastructure Advisory, strategy and Economics team
3. Collaborate across Advisory functions and business lines to win and deliver work
4.Be a key influencer with clients and support the AECOM team to identify new opportunities
5. Active mentoring and development of our technical staff across New Zealand
Minimum Requirements
+ Appropriate technical qualification
+ >20 years of relevant experience
+ Successful track record in field of expertise and substantial project experience
+ Proven client engagement experience
+ Demonstrated collaborative influencing skills
+ Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skill
+ Alignment of values to AECOM strategy
+ Strong brand in the local market
