As a Database Reliability Engineering Technical Lead at DIA, you are responsible for the management and maintenance of our database environment. Resilience is at the core of what you do, and you will work to ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our key assets in this space. You will implement processes and tools that will provide the visibility and proactive support needed to achieve our goals. Key to this role is how you work with our database service providers to ensure they are adhering to the standards and patterns that you have helped to define. You will work closely with cross functional teams and projects to design, build and optimize databases and processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the vendor responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's database systems, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Define and enforce best practices and standards for database architecture, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, operations, and infrastructure teams, to optimize database performance and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Develop and maintain database-related documentation, including data models, schema designs, and performance tuning guidelines.
- Continuously monitor and analyze database systems to identify areas for improvement, such as performance bottlenecks, capacity planning, and data integrity.
- Participate in and resolve critical database incidents.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and trends, and evaluate their potential impact on the company's database infrastructure.
