We are a Unitary council therefore provide an excellent range of strategic projects for Policy planners and policy analysts, across resource management, climate change, community, transport planning and urban growth and development.

We are offering positions across all levels from 2 years’ experience to Principal Policy Planners.

This team works on complex and high-profile local council / government policy projects. As a member of the Strategic Planning Team, you will be responsible for:

- Complex policy analysis and development of innovative, practical, and durable policy options.
- Providing policy advice often in areas that are complex and sensitive
- Taking the lead on complex policy work and project teams
- Enhancing the overall capability of the team through coaching and mentoring

To really succeed in this role, you’ll understand Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi) as it relates to policy development.

- Policy Planners - any level.
