We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery Outpatient Modules, Breast Service.

Consultations, breast imaging and diagnostic tests are co-ordinated within our clinic providing the gold standard in diagnosis and treatment for our Breast patients. Many patients will have a diagnosis of Breast Cancer and the nursing care you provide will be rewarding with the work you do really making a difference. The successful applicant will be committed to providing patients with the highest standard of care, have a sound work ethic and the ability to work autonomously.

Proven experience within a surgical specialty and either previous experience or a special interest in Breast nursing will be favourable. You will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and a can do attitude to problem solving.

Skills in post op wound care, and assisting with clinical procedures is advantageous. Excellent clinical and communication skills as well as attention to detail are essential. The position is a mix of clinical interaction with patients as well as an administration component that supports the Clinical Nurse Specialist Team and Consultants.

The important work that you will do is for the people at the core of our health system i.e. our patients and their whaanau. You will be working alongside general surgeons, trainee doctors and nurses, nurse specialists and our own highly experienced team of nurses and patient care assistants.

**Essential Criteria**:

- New Zealand Registered Nurse with current APC
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a surgical environment
- A special interest in Breast Nursing
