Due to a promotion, an opportunity exists within the Health and Benefits Team to service a portfolio of clients across Auckland. This unique opportunity will see you manage and grow a portfolio of retail health and benefits clients to deliver world-class advisory services. The opportunity is best suited to an individual who can identify and solve a client’s insurance needs, close the sale, work in partnership with underwriters to complete the policy and may not be particularly excited about prospecting.

**We will count on you to**:

- Manage an existing client base, review covers and grow the book of business to ensure revenue and retention targets are met and exceeded
- Actively identify opportunities to add additional insurance for members of existing group schemes
- Develop mutually beneficial relationships with the Commercial Brokers
- Develop and maintain excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships to always preserve and protect company’s relationships
- Contribute towards the Company’s profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of revenue and expense budgets
- Lead, plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal performance meets required standards

**Day-to-day this might include**:

- Individual client interactions including calls, in-person presentations and meetings
- Providing high quality customer service, claims advocacy and advice
- Expertly managing account queries
- Developing a thorough understanding of client needs and the products and services we offer
- Regularly attending industry events and training
- May be some travel regionally

**What you need to have**:

- Relevant financial service qualifications at least to a RFA level and, or studying to achieve Level 5 qualifications
- Ability to recognise opportunities to generate new revenue
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a team
- Proven sales and life insurance advisory experience in the personal insurance space is essential
- Possess a good working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance and other relevant legislation and keep abreast of all new developments
- Role model leadership behaviours in respect of growth initiatives
