**What will you be doing?**

At Tower, we are **progressing boldly** to align with future insurance trends. This role will be responsible for managing the domestic functionalities within Tower Insurance.

**Our customers are our compass, **the role involves proactive supplier management and the maintenance of that relationship to ensure alignment to Tower's requirements, culture and business best practices.

You can expect to be across the following:

- Contacting customers in a timely manner and gather information regarding their claim.
- Providing quality damage reports and updates.
- Providing accurate costings of damage.
- Monitoring contractor workflow and planning contingency responses when peak activity exceeds resource capacity.
- Transferring knowledge and experience to work colleagues as required and promoting best practice assessing through, the review of trade updates and practises including researching new building products and techniques.
- Taking advantage of all learning and developmental opportunities provided by workshops, activities and reading relevant circulars, publications and other relevant material.
- Ensuring that agreed service levels are being maintained
- Ensuring that charges are being appropriately applied in accordance with the service agreement
- Checking that supplier and customer problems are resolved effectively and in a timely way
- To manage & prioritise your own assessing workload.

***What you'll need**

**To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following**:

- Previous insurance assessing or claims experience.
- Knowledge of building industry and reinstatement methodology's.
- Hands on experience in structural repair procedures and standards
- Thorough knowledge of the Building Act and Local Territory
- Understanding of building contracts
- Experience in administration, cost control, and the preparation of reports
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Computer Skills (MS Office, Web Browsing, Digital Images)
