ROLLER OPERATOR

Our well known and Global Works and Civil client is seeking a Roller Operator for projects within the Dunedin and Otago region. This role would suit someone who is interested in working with a well-known and safety minded company whose vison and purpose is to work with a successful and enduring infrastructure company. This work is Otago wide and offers variety, challenge, and opportunity to be offered upskilling and training. The company is proud to have honest down to earth people and value a positive culture.

The job

This position will see the successful applicant working in the outdoors & as an integral part of the team primarily as a roller operator carrying out the following duties;
- Operate roller to compact earth, subgrade, and sub-base asphalt surfaces.
- Communication with crew
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning and moving the machine in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
- Manual labouring duties as required

Skills & Attributes

This position is for somebody that has the correct licences and an ambition to enter the world of Civil Infrastructure and are keen to grow, learn and develop.

If you have the following we want to hear from you;
- Full Drivers licence, ideally class 2, incl W,T,R,
- Roller experience
- Passion for the outdoors and the civil industry
- Loves physical work
- Enjoys a challenge
- Is a self-starter with a great attitude who can work in a team
- Hard working and happy to go above and beyond when required
- Reliable
- Great communicator
- Ability to work out of town may be required
- Construcstafe is ideal, however we can help with this
