**What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua**
You will provide high quality technical support and undertake research with projects focussing on biological research. This will include support for the analysis of metabolites in plant/food materials and human samples by LCMS and GCMS.

You will support the general maintenance of the laboratory, prepare samples for analysis, and contribute to the development of new approaches/methodologies to advance our capabilities in biological chemistry..

To be successful in this role, the minimum qualifications required are:

- A BSc or National Diploma of Science (Level 6) majoring in Chemistry, preferably with practical experience in analytical chemistry.
- Well-developed laboratory and analytical skills.
- Organised and methodical approach to recording methods and results to a high standard.
- Relevant computing skills including excel spreadsheets, word processing and graphical packages.
- Ability to travel nationally is desirable.
