We are seeking an experienced Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor to join our team in Counsellor Education. Our programmes are known nationally and internationally for their focus on narrative approaches to counselling.
The successful candidate will have a strong record of practice and research, as well as a recognised contribution to the counselling profession. They will be able to contribute to excellence in teaching, research, and postgraduate supervision, and have a well-defined programme of research that advances research capacities in the Counsellor Education field.
**Job Description**
As a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor, you will lead by example, mentoring and guiding other staff to achieve excellence in teaching and research. You will have a passion for teaching our students, with recent counselling practice and professional supervision experience.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD in counselling or a relevant discipline
- A quality record of professional experience in counselling
- A desire to bring your expertise to our Counsellor Education programme
- Broad and in-depth knowledge of narrative therapy and mediation, social constructionist theory, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and whakaaro Maori, and counselling ethics
**Benefits**
