**About the opportunity**

You’ll join our Fitness & Wellbeing vertical where we’ve recently brought together our Boutique Wellness and Health & Fitness business to form a single, global vertical that serves clients around the globe in key markets like the US, Canada, UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. We have market-leading software products like Mariana Tek, TrueCoach, Clubware, Resamania and PerfectMind as well as Commerce Accelerating Technologies like Connect (Brandbot) and Insights (Intelli-hub) that are designed to help our clients manage and grow their business.

Reporting into the Director of Software Development - you’ll join Xplor Fitness & Wellbeing and our Xplor Recreation Engineering team — the team that provides support and expertise to health clubs, gyms, community centres as well as the leisure, parks and recreation industry. As our Scrum Master you'll be crucial in the process of accelerating Xplor Recreation's product development. Primarily you'll be an expert in Agile and Lean and help guide our scrum teams to achieve the most they can through a discipline of continuous improvement.

Some of the other responsibilities you’ll have:

- Be responsible for the Agile Guild across Xplor Fitness & Wellbeing vertical and to coach and grow other Scrum Masters across Xplor
- Facilitate daily stand-ups and other Agile events to ensure that they are well-organised, time-boxed and productive
- Act as a servant-leader - interacting with our scrum teams with empathy and openness
- Act as the team expert in efficiency and pragmatism
- Challenge the teams and the organisation to work as effectively as possible
- Champion efforts to improve on the quality, velocity, value to the business within the context of the teams
- Be responsible for championing Agile practices across Xplor Recreation and the wider Fitness & Wellbeing Engineering teams
- Possess global leadership and dealing with different cultures
- Work with the Developers, QA & Product Owners across the globe to organise the Agile process
- Focus on developing Agile Fundamentals skills within the Software Development Lifecycle field
- Facilitate Scrum events using Agile practices, tools and processes and create consistency of delivery practices across the teams and to maximise productivity.
- Ensure that the sprint board is properly updated during the daily stand-ups, and at the end of the sprint, that every user story is completed as per the definition of done.
- Serve as the primary interface to the teams and manage communication between teams other squads
- Create the scrum rules and then coach the team to follow Agile principles and practices.
- Shield the teams from disruptive external influences

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years experience as a Scrum Master
- Computer Science or similar degree or have an equivalent body of knowledge
- Demonstrable experience in increasing the Agile maturity level of teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of SaaS solutions and Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience previously working with a global team would be beneficial
- Understanding of the global health and wellbeing industry, with focus on software would be beneficial
- Proven results in process optimization
- Exposure and diverse experience with different types of technical environments and software.
- Experience in business analysis techniques, processes, and methodologies
- Experience in implementing Agile best practices and encouraging team cohesion, overcoming impediments and hurdles to productivity.
- Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to think ahead, develop forward looking strategy and effectively communicating vision to diverse teams in a way that engages and inspires.
- Ability to identify and escalate issues proactively
- Ability to multi-task against competing tasks, prioritise, and manage time effectively
