We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a commitment to a team-based approach in anaesthesia and surgery.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Contribute actively and positively towards excellence in teamwork, clinical care, teaching and research
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia services, including acute pain, obstetric anaesthesia and perioperative services to elective and emergency patients within both Waikato and Thames Hospitals
- Participate in an on-call roster, including obstetric on-call roster
- Model a high degree of professionalism in their day-to-day work

**Mōu | About you**

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

- Eligible for Vocational Registration as a Specialist Anesthetist with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Demonstrate recent clinical experience in Anesthesia comparable to contemporary Australasian practice.
- Competence in providing Anaesthetic services for healthy children > 24 months.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to work effectively and constructively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
- Any successful applicant will not be eligible to commence their appointment until any relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed.
