Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role We are seeking 2 x Operations Managers (internally we call these roles Service Delivery Managers) which report into the Waikato Area Manager and work as part of the Waikato Operational Leadership Team. These rare opportunities have come available due to internal promotion and growth are not to be missed.
Our operations get underway early and earlier morning starts, Monday to Friday is typical of these roles. We are a 24/7 operation therefore some flexibility outside these hours is required occasionally.
This is a challenging role where no two days are the same & both roles currently vacant have a similar range of responsibilities. You will be managing team delivery performance, using your good IT knowledge to provide analysis of daily reports, manage rosters and budgets, contract recruitment, building internal relationships and engaging with a fun, collaborative team - the variety is huge
Service Delivery Manager These roles are leading our Contracted Delivery Fleet of mixed rural and metro contractors, that cover Waikato's vast urban and rural landscape which use our Hamilton depot as their base location. Both the positions have direct reports, working with Service Delivery Co-ordinators and Service Delivery Supports to help you with day to day running of the operations. Strong organisational skills, good prioritising ability and extremely strong relationship management are the keys to success. You must have a proven track record of team culture and value relationships above all else.

- Experience leading/managing employees and/or contractors
- Leadership style that drives a high performing, customer-centric, thriving team culture
- Customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong commercial acumen, including budgets, financials and analytical skills
- Good technical IT skills (these roles don't require an IT genius; a strong understanding of systems and good Excel knowledge would be ideal)
- Great baking skills (tongue in cheek here, but our Tauranga teams all love to contribute to a good morning tea)
- These are busy, frontline operational role, so be happy to get stuck in to whatever needs doing daily
