Are you keen to help your hapori and whānau in time of need?

St John are recruiting for a permanent Emergency Medical Assistant to join the Gisborne team, **working a 4 x 4 DDNN relief roster.**

The Emergency Medical Assistant's primary role is to work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer, driving our Waka Manaaki (ambulances), assisting them with the delivery of patient care (under supervision), ensuring operational readiness of vehicle and equipment and completion of relevant administrative tasks. Ultimately, a key aspect of this role is about manaakitanga and taking care of people in their times of need.

**What do you need to join?**
- Hold a full NZ driver's license and either have held it for at least one year OR have completed an NZTA approved advanced driving course
- Be 18 years of age and over and have NZ residency or citizenship
- Have good physical fitness
- Have great communication and the ability to connect and whakawhanangatanga
- Be enthusiastic with a good work ethic and embrace the hauora of people. Have a commitment to St John's core values - **_Do the right thing, Side by side, Straight up, Make it better, Open minds_**
