We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our growing team as an Assistant Store Manager responsible for our evening closes at 8pm Thursday to Monday.

We are a full service supermarket, offering customers a warm welcome and convenient supermarket shopping experience - all under one roof. Our service is second to none.

To be successful you must have a passion for providing excellent customer service, be a detail minded self starter, be able to multi-task and have the ability to follow through in a timely manner.

You will be working with a committed and motivated team who prides themselves on the quality offering of fresh and great local service here at Four Square Waipu.

This is a working Assistant Store Manager role and the main duties will entail but not limited:

- Assisting in recruitment of all team members into the store
- Ensuring all team members receive an appropriate induction / orientation to the different departments and receive appropriate ongoing training support
- Guiding all identified team members through identified training to achieve desired standards of performance.
- Helping to ensure all team members are aware of development opportunities available to them.
- Arranging or providing in-house training and development opportunities for all team members within the store.Team training and development
- Rostering to ensure adequate team members at all times, keeping in line with wage percentage targets.
- Manage team members effectively through adherence to appropriate in-store policies and procedures and by setting a personal example of expected store behaviours.
- Help to ensure costs are kept within the parameters set out by Owner Operator
- Manage assigned activities, promotions and initiatives within plan, budget and resource deployment delegations.

This role ideally suits an applicant who has a minimum of 6 months supervisory experience, has excellent communication skills and can "walk the talk" when leading their team. You're a team player with high presentation standards that is equipped with a "can do" attitude and that enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
