Processing Officer - Forklift | Permanent Full Time | Avondale
- $24.72 per hour + night shift allowance of $3.21 between 8pm and 6am

This is a great opportunity for you to work within a dedicated team who contribute to making New Zealand Post a great place to work. As a Processing Officer, your role is critical to customer experience in ensuring freight or product is sorted, processed, dispatched correctly and that our couriers receive it for delivery on time. You will operate a Forklift approximately 6 hours per day.
- Forklift allowance (6 hours) + Night shift allowance will be paid on top of hourly rate

**Shifts**:

- Monday to Thursday: 01:30AM to 10:00AM and Saturday: 00:05AM to 08:35AM

**In this dynamic job you will**:

- Sort our customer's parcels & freight based at our Auckland West Depot - 40 Jomac Place, Avondale
- Dispatch correctly to our couriers to ensure they can deliver on time
- Handle freight in a careful and professional manner
- Liaise with various internal contacts to solve problems and raise issues where required

**To be successful in this role you will need to**:

- Hold a valid Forklift license (mandatory)
- Hold a valid full New Zealand drivers license (mandatory)
- Be a committed teammate who puts customers first
- Be ready for a physically demanding role - heavy lifting is required
- Enjoy working hard and be confident managing your time
- Have an accurate eye for detail
- Have good geographical knowledge
