The New Zealand portfolio is a growing market, that sees Siemens Rail Infrastructure provide the latest railway signalling solutions to our client, KiwiRail. The portfolio covers centres in Auckland and Wellington, with the company’s primary office based in Auckland. The position would require travel between the two locations to provide face time with direct reports, as well as regional stakeholders.

**Revolutionise rail travel with Siemens Mobility.**

The Project Engineering Team Leader position will assume the Line Management function for the regional Project Engineering team, as well as provide guidance and mentorship. This role will also be responsible for organisation, planning and direction of the Project Engineering resources to support the portfolio’s programme; working closely with the regional leadership.

As a Line Manager this role will be responsible for the management of direct reports timesheets, expenses and leave. It will require you to understand and implement Siemens process and policy.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Line Management
- Providing support and Growth Talks to direct reports
- Provide point of escalation for Engineering delivery issues
- Dissemination of Siemens governance and policies
- Discharge safety responsibilities to H&S legislation and company procedures
- Provide management and guidance of local client and industry standards
- Ensure the business code of conduct is being adhered to
- Manage client interfaces and escalatory actions as required
- Maintain a continuous communication with contractors and customers in the development and implementation of projects to ensure a uniformity of purpose and common targets
- Working with the regional Project Management Manager
- Support the evaluation and technical accuracy of tenders, and make recommendations to obtain the best available commercial award for the Company

- Prior experience in leading team of engineers and / or project managers

- Engineering degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
