Reinforcing Bar Bender

**The company;**

Stresscrete is Southland’s largest manufacturer of precast/prestressed concrete. Manufacturing precast concrete wall panels, prestressed flooring, prestressed bridges, stairs, beams, columns and more.

**The Job;**

Reporting to the Production Supervisor your position will be responsible for the day to day running of the rebar workshop. This is a sole charge practical, hands-on role and will involve the smooth running and production of the bent rebar, ensuring stock levels are kept up to date, general maintenance and tidy house keeping are met along with overseeing the day to day operation. Health & Safety is a key element of this role along with the ability to ensure customer satisfaction and requirements are met.

**Skills and Experience;**

This position is a practical and hands-on sole charge role, to be considered you will have previous skills and experience having worked with both manual and programmable bar bending machines and ideally experience with Gantry crane & forklift operation. You will be a self-starter, well organized and happy to work largely independently. You will have strong oral and written skills and your leadership qualities will bring a positive, hardworking attitude to the overall team. When times are busy and the pressure is on, your skills & experience will enable you to safely, efficiently and positively get the job done.

**Days and Hours;**

Working Monday to Friday 7.30 am - 4.00pm with the very occasional Saturday if required and with a 30 minute lunch break.
