**Job Description**:

Firstlight Network has joined the Firstgas Group whānau this month, and we're excited to be recruiting for a _Senior Health and Safety Advisor _to support this team in Gisborne and our wider business across Aotearoa.

In this role, you'll be part of a team delivering H&S best practice to Firstgas Group's operations and activities. You’ll be joining a supportive team in a hybrid working environment, who work within an atmosphere where autonomy and flexibility compliments the challenging and interesting work environment.

You can expect to:

- Assist with delivery of the Group HSQE Plan, working with the broader People, Safety and Sustainability (PSS) team.
- Provide H&S technical advice and support to employees, franchisees, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Promote the use and continuous development of safety management systems, standards and tools throughout the business.
- Develop and embed internal H&S training refreshers.
- Lead Incident Investigations and learning teams and provide support on other investigations and associated actions.
- Hazard and Risk Management (initial, review, monitoring).
- H&S data monitoring and analysis and reporting.
- Support the development, implementation and management of wellness programmes (Got Your Back).

As well as being a great team player who is passionate about what you do, you will have:

- 7+ years' experience with high risk activities
- Comprehension of H&S legislation and associated relevant regulations.
- Superior communication and influencing skills
- Experience with behavioural based safety observation programmes.
- A relevant tertiary Health, Safety or Environmental Management qualification.
