We tackle diverse projects, from environmental restoration and climate resilience to flood and cyclone recovery, water resource planning, and infrastructure decision-making.
As a Flood Modeller at Jacobs, you will be a key client-facing professional, utilising advanced software and simulation techniques to explore surface water, groundwater, coastal, and fluvial processes. By delving into water quantity, scarcity, and quality, you will gain a deep understanding of natural hazards, the health of water resources environments, the impact of infrastructure development, and the implications of water abstractions and discharges. Your expertise will be instrumental in winning and delivering exciting projects that range from large-scale environmental initiatives to providing resilience advice at a property level.

**Here’s what you’ll need**:
- Degree in Engineering or related field as well as industry-leading expertise in surface water modelling, particularly flood modelling.
- Technical reporting skills: review or compile technical reports that detail the type, methodologies, results of field activities, interpretation of results and impact assessment.
- Coaching and mentoring of junior staff
- Strong business development acumen and the ability to identify and pursue new project opportunities, build relationships with clients, and effectively communicate Jacobs' value proposition to win new work.
- Ability to communicate results and analysis with internal and external clients.
- Maintain industry leading proficiency in the use of standard tools, techniques and equipment that are required for the undertaking, completion, and delivery of your work.
