**The Role**

This is a great opportunity to work with Aotearoa's most loved media brands and provide tech services in a customer-focused manner, enabling the highest performance and enhancing customer experience.
- Support live streams, events, podcasting and other digital audio/video platforms and technologies to maintain high quality throughout the digital broadcast chain.
- Day-to-day maintenance of all live digital audio streams (including digital ad insertion) over the MediaWorks digital platform.
- Integration and maintenance of automated audio content repurposing for redistribution (automatic podcasting and AI).
- Collaborative with rova content and digital product teams to understand and create solutions that best meet their requirements.
- Be the expert in the technical elements of the digital audio landscape and its future, making recommendations on new solutions and tools, ensuring alignment to MediaWorks product roadmap and strategy.

**About You**

You will have in-depth knowledge of audio/video infrastructure, tooling to support live and on-demand audio/video streaming at scale through a Digital Platform built on AWS and supporting platforms (such as Triton/Adswizz).
- Experience with AOIP and audio transport protocols such as HLS, AES67, RTMP, RTP, Icecast; audio codecs; scripting languages and automation tools; IP audio platforms from Lawo and Wheatstone
- Expert in operation, metrics, dashboard, and alerting; audio contribution and conditioning hardware, including encoders etc;
- Good understanding of contemporary audio/video systems; cabling infrastructure, connectivity and diagnostic utilities.
- Outstanding quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with different teams
- Cool, calm and confident communicator especially when under pressure, with a we can do it attitude
- Takes ownership to make things happen with constant focus on delivery excellence and customer centricity
- High level of discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential or sensitive information
