Te tūnga | The role

This role is permanent. You will report to the Manager - Data Management.

The Data Management team leads the corporate data management function for the organisation and provides advice and support for people and teams across the business.

In this role you will work collaboratively with your senior advisor to provide support and service delivery to improve data management practices across Stats NZ. This includes:

- Supporting users of Colectica, our statistical metadata repository, to publish quality metadata.
- Training new people to put records into Colectica
- Advising people in statistical product areas to appropriately record statistical metadata
- Supporting Colectica users with technical issues

- Being a point of quality assurance and support
- Technical trouble shooting to recognise issues and contributing ways to solve them
- Supporting staff to use new tools
- Maintaining the workflow and being able to prioritise and work under pressure
- Time management skills
