**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
As the Security Training Officer, you’ll have extended knowledge of healthcare security practices, identify and assess training needs within security and how it links to the wider organization. This will include a complete review and update of the current training material (including training plans and various training methods) to create a training programme equivalent to an NZQA L4/5 qualification to enhance employee skills and performance, as well as provide training to help grow and develop individuals from security officers to people leaders. The Security Training Officer is also part of the operational on call security management team, and when not training has a responsibility to lead Security Services’ response to events, incidents, code responses and critical incidents both during business hours and outside of normal business hours when the Operations Manager is unavailable.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- Have had 5 + years Security Training experience
- Formal education and experience in development of customer service delivery
- Previously been an Adult Educator Trainer or NZQA Trainer and Assessor
- NZ Certificate in Security - Level 4 or equivalent work experience
- Least 5 years experience in security operations or team leader role
