**Our Opportunity**:
As a leader within renewable generation, we are very conscious of our responsibilities to our customers, particularly our vulnerable customers. Our approach to customer care continues to shape much of our existing and future retail activity. Electricity is one of many costs consumers are juggling, and holistic solutions are key to effecting meaningful change.

Our Payment Solutions team are challenging the way debt collection is perceived and removing the stigma attached to it. We require someone for a fixed term contract who is willing and able to adapt to our Payment Solutions mindset and hit the ground running, supporting on inbound and outbound calls. We work closely with our Community Engagement Manager to bring change to the industry and to help those having trouble paying their power bills - a heavy handed approach is not in the best interests of our customers.

Our team pride themselves on helping people get back on track and feel a sense of reward for negotiating a successful arrangement. Our staff feel empowered to make their own decisions with the flexibility to make their own sustainable arrangements for customers. They have a genuine desire to help people and enjoy the huge amount of variety that the role offers.
- Action outbound and inbound calls with residential customers in arrears in a helpful and professional manner, with a goal of first call resolution.
- Negotiate payment solutions for customers e.g. instalment plans within Mercury's guideline and business rules.
- Respond to all calls and correspondence appropriately on a daily basis and ensure your other KPIs are met.
- Actively contribute to overall team performance in achieving debt reduction and constantly lifting our capability to help customers.

**We are looking for**:

- Customer service / engagement experience
- Previous experience working with a large customer base
- Familiarity with Electricity Code of Practice and/or Consumer Care Guideline and Mercury's Terms and Conditions
- An understanding of GTV/SAP, Excel, Outlook and Word is desirable
