Our Social Work Service based at Ashburton Hospital
has a unique and rewarding opportunity for an NZ Registered Social Worker to
join us in providing high quality care to the Ashburton and Rural communities.
This is a varied position with no two days the
same Working in our Hospital and community-based settings you will work as a
rural generalist social worker and nurture strong links with your colleagues in a number of Christchurch services.
This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week (1.0FTE). Our
community services cover the areas from the Rakaia River to the Rangitata River
so travel will be required.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing
assessment and intervention for adults, children and families with illness
and/or disability to support them to remain in their own environment for as
long as possible.

**Your skills will include**:

- The ability to work using your own initiative and clinical

judgement within a community setting;
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
within a multidisciplinary team;
- A flexible and adaptable approach to caseload management;
- Registration with the New Zealand Social Worker - s Board along with
