We are Auckland's home of commemoration as well as the country’s oldest research institution and a major tourist destination.

We are seeking a full time Image Orders Technician to join our Collection Information and Access team. The Image Orders Technician creates and supplies digital images of objects from the Museum’s collections to assist internal and external research enquiries. The collections and knowledge about them are often the essential basis for Museum researcher visits, exhibitions, programmes and events. This full-time and permanent role works across the Museum’s collecting areas to provide access to collection content improving visibility and accessibility.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following knowledge, skills, competencies and experience in the following areas;
- A Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, eg. Bachelor of Arts/Fine Arts/Science/Pacific Studies/or Communications
- Previous collection imaging experience, particularly for two-dimensional works, is highly desirable
- Understanding of legislative and cultural frameworks which relate to access to and reuse of digital content and collection items
- Effective listener & communicator, with confidence building external relationships
- Proven front line customer service skills
- Attention to detail skills and the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
- Proven research and reference skills relating to cultural heritage
- Be able to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment
