Genesis Energy is one of New Zealand's leading energy retailers, supplying electricity, natural gas and LPG to more than half a million customers across the country and providing almost 20% of New Zealand's electricity. We want to be New Zealander's first choice for energy management, striving to deliver new products and services, challenge the status quo, be bold and innovative and take responsibility for our customers and what matters to them.
To ensure we are operating as efficiently and safety as possible, outages are a critical component of our operational business, to ensure our assets are future proofed, maintained and updated appropriately. The success of an outage stems from the success of the planning and collaboration of the staff involved, to minimise disruption in operations, while seamlessly working with budgets and agreed timelines. The team are experienced, and passionate about all thing's generation, and are now looking for a like-minded individual to join the centrally located crew.
**About the role**:
In this business-critical role reporting to the Outage & Projects Manager you will take ownership and accountability for strategically planning, coordinating, and leading the delivery of complex project and outage workstreams across the Genesis generation portfolio, leading the interaction between stakeholders to ensure optimal outage delivery in line with outage KPIs and business objectives. This role will provide plenty of variety across our sites, both in the nature and scale of the outage. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and coordinate large-scale capital investment project programmes across the generation portfolio.
- Lead project and outage management functions across multiple parallel project and maintenance workstreams.

- 5+ years' experience in a heavy industrial / process environment.
- Complex project management experience.
- Sound understanding of generation plant systems and processes.
- High level of experience in data management using Microsoft Applications Word, Excel, and Project.
