**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

This is a great opportunity to provide expert support to our analyst function within the Operations Security team. This position is responsible for operations and maintenance of our Security Tooling and Platforms and ensuring their availability and reliability. Our Security Engineering function also provides support for the team’s analysts, supplementing our team’s detection and response with technical solutions and processes. This involves tuning and customisation across a range of cyber defense components in line with security best-practice guidelines to minimise risks and maximise efficiency and performance. You'll be required to liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure their platforms are secure and operational in accordance with best-practice.

Throughout your day you will learn new skills alongside supportive colleagues working on a wide range of business problems. The team value personal development and you will have the opportunity to learn and experiment with new innovative solutions. You will also hold accountability in operating and maintaining the Security Platforms and ensures their availability and effective delivery of controls and protection for the business.

This position provides expert-level input and feedback to the wider Operations Security team to ensure rapid diagnosis of issues, speed of resolution and enhancing workflows driven by security tools. Simplifying processes, workflow automation and providing technical expertise applied through a security lens.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

A solid knowledge of security related tools and infrastructure is paramount for this role. Your strong background in agile software development methodologies and testing processes will contribute to the success in this role.

Because this is a senior role with a specific focus in mind, you will have expert level of skills in:

- Servers and Infrastructure, including Windows Server OS, AD, DNS, DHCP;
- Antivirus and Endpoint/EDR Security products;
- Automation via scripting and PowerShell;
- Vulnerability management processes and vulnerability analysis
- SIEM engineering, focused on our current tooling
- Network Security Concepts and firewall/proxy platforms
- Deployment of security software within large enterprise environments and networks;

Since you will be involved in supporting the development and strategic implementation of security solutions, your proven exposure in Incident Response and Management, combined with your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be heavily put into practice. This role includes an On-Call rotation shared amongst the member of our Team.

This opportunity will let you develop your interpersonal skills by allowing you to lead and mentor other colleagues, as well as report to management the current posture of our security components. Therefore, good communication and report writing is paramount for the success of this role.

**Nice-to-haves**:

- Proficiency in programming languages - powershell, python, javascript etc.
- DevSecOps experience
- IAM - Identity and Access Management experience
- Reverse engineering/malware analysis/forensics experience
- Experience with various Linux OS flavours
- Auditing - CIS Controls / NIST Framework compliance
- Threat modelling
