We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to enhance our sales success by managing our online strategy as our E-Commerce Manager for both The Shelter and SYMETRIA.
The Shelter is New Zealand's leading concept store where the world's best designers incubate and bring to life creative ideas. Housing international fashion brands such as MM6 Maison Margiela, Issey Miyake and Uma Wang, alongside premium New Zealand designers such as SYMETRIA, taylor, Jimmy D and Lela Jacobs, right through to accessories, beauty and lifestyle products. You'll have the opportunity to present some of the worlds most sought after brands through our sleek digital experience. With a well established e-commerce channel and international dropship partners, The Shelter provides and exciting opportunity for growth in both the New Zealand and international markets.
SYMETRIA is designed for the creatively curious mind. A fashion label made in and formed by New Zealand, for a discerning international clientele. Stocked throughout the world in prestigious locations including Selfridges in the UK, you'll be managing the SYMETRIA digital experience through both our B2B and B2C channels.
You will work closely with our wider digital and marketing teams, and manage all aspects of the online and digital marketing environment for The Shelter and SYMETRIA.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Maintenance of the online store by maintaining up to date products, size ratios, prices, product descriptions and promotions
- Working closely with and monitoring KPI's with our Digital Marketing agency
- Maintain our dropship brand partnerships, working meet KPI’s with their marketing team, product uploads, monitoring dispatch, managing returns, maintaining stock sync etc.
- Ensure consistent branding and imagery through all media, online and social media platforms
- Create at least 2 engaging weekly e-newsletters with the aim of driving online sales, generating in store traffic and increasing engagement
- Monitoring of the picking and packing of order details, ensuring all relevant information is included and delivery timeframes are met
- Lead the creation of the creative and graphic content of The Shelter and SYMETRIA ensuring the in store promotional activities align with the online and social presence
- Create blogs and inspiration pages to enhance and tell the story of The Shelter and its brands
- Managing online returns
- Assist in the preparation and running of the photographic campaigns and graphic imagery for the brands
- Create graphic tools for events and activities in store and online
- Immersing yourself in The Shelter physical space, to enhance the in store and online experience

Your organisational skills are evident, with experience in working to deadlines and within a fast paced environment. You will be computer literate, commercially savvy, a proven problem solver, and have excellent communication skills and personal presentation. An understanding of the importance to maintain a sharp direction for our premium brands is essential.
- 3+ years experience in an e-commerce role
- An eye for fashion and design with exceptional attention to detail
- An analytical mind, keeping on the pulse of industry trends and developments
- Graphic design skills, specifically in Adobe Suite
- Experience with Lightspeed (Vend), PepperSuite, Mailchimp and Facebook Ads Manager are preferred
Based in Eden Terrace, the role is full time, Monday-Friday.
