Hauroa a Toi Bay of Plenty are looking for Health Care Assistant with a passion to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
We are currently seeking experienced, passionate, and driven Health Care Assistant to join our vibrant and innovative team of the Assessment Planning Unit (APU). You will be joining a skilled and knowledgeable team that aim for high-quality patient care.
Health Care Assistants work under the direction of a highly motivated, friendly and enthusiastic nursing team who are committed to delivering comprehensive quality care. We offer and support education opportunities.
The Assessment Planning Unit is a dynamic, fast-paced, and busy unit providing assessment and treatment for acutely unwell medical patients admitted from their GP, plus patients admitted from the Emergency department. APU consists of a triage area within 24 bedded observational ward area and eight ambulatory chairs are known as the ambulatory care unit.

The ideal successful applicant will be able to;
- Work effectively and efficiently in a high-pressure team nursing environment
- To be on their feet all day
- Be physically able
- Demonstrate good organisational and communication skills
- Can demonstrate safe clinical practice
- Demonstrate a calm demeanour, and good sense of humour
- Looking to become part of a team and is a team player
