**About the role**
As part of the fabrication and machining department, you will be responsible for the physical condition of parts that leave Rocket Lab's Machine Shop.
The position includes visual inspections, measurement, deburring, cleaning, and packaging of parts to ensure that parts are clean, to spec and protected from damage during transport and storage.
These parts are used on our space vehicles and can range from flight components, one off R&D prototypes and fixtures.

- General dimensioning and tolerancing (training can be provided)

- A high work ethic, always seeking more responsibility
**Desired Skills**
- Takes initiative and remains calm under pressure
- Computer literate, and comfortable using smartphones and tablets
- Experience (or interest) in working in a fabrication/machining environment
- Previous experience in aviation, motorsports or defence
