Brand new role reporting to the General Manager - People & Safety;
- Wellness focus and tools to support psychosocial risk management;
- Competitive remuneration and fantastic benefits.

**About Us**:
Braemar Hospital is a prestigious private surgical hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand, dedicated to supporting nearly 200 credentialed specialists, including surgeons from many parts of the world, working at the highest level in their fields.

Excellence is at our core, and with highly sophisticated technology and facilities and our highly skilled team working across nine operating theatres and two endoscopy suites, we support a full range of surgical specialties and medical procedures.

We are known for our innovation and the five-star experience we provide to our patients, specialists, and visitors every day, and we recognise and value our people for the outstanding commitment and contribution they make to deliver this experience.

**The Opportunity**:

Working alongside a supportive General Manager, who is truly focused on this opportunity mutually enhancing your career and the organisations safety and wellness practices, ongoing professional development including additional study and maintaining expertise will be available.

We see this role as being suitable for a strong Health & Safety Coordinator looking for their next step, or perhaps you have been working in an Advisory role for a year or two and you’re looking for a change.

- You will have experience in hazard identification and risk management activities;
- You will possess and exude a genuine passion for safety and wellness and an ability to inspire others and establish meaningful relationships;
- Total wellness is key for us, you’ll be curious about organisational monitoring and managing of psychosocial risk and open to further training and development in this space;
- You will have strong written communication skills with a flair for developing policies and procedures, and excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines;
- Ideally, you’ll have a NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health & Safety, and be NZISM Accredited or NZSC Registered, or be willing to study towards a relevant qualification;
- You don’t need a background in the health sector. We welcome applicants from different industries to our own, to attain innovative thinking and fresh ideas

Working at Braemar Hospital provides you with access to a number of great benefits, including:

- Sophisticated facilities and equipment at your fingertips (we use some pretty cool tools to support our teams’ safety and wellness);
