**About Us**

Mercure Queenstown Resort is a well-appointed 4-star property, boasting breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the majestic Remarkables Mountain range. Our resort features three exceptional food and beverage outlets: Rises Restaurant serves a hearty breakfast, South Eatery Restaurant offers exquisite à la carte cuisine, and the Lounge Bar provides a selection of coffees, snacks, and beverages.

**About the role**

If you are a motivated and experienced professional with a passion for the food and beverage industry, we would love to hear from you.

**Key duties**
- Provide efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage services to all guests.
- Actively sell special promotions and facilities within the hotel/company.
- Anticipate and address potential problem areas and customer complaints, documenting actions taken.
- Ensure that duties within a shift are completed in accordance with service and brand standards.
- Establish systems to protect and maintain control of restaurant service equipment, recording breakages and conducting regular stock takes.
- Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers.
- Support the induction of new team members, working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure new joiners are fully trained.
- Implement and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule to achieve high hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Actively support and participate in safe work practices following health and safety, rehabilitation, environment and smoke-free policies and procedures in the workplace.

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a supervisory role, within a restaurant or bar.
- You are a well organised, self-driven, and passionate individual who enjoys working in a customer service environment.
- You are a problem solver, who is able to remain calm under pressure.
- You are a role model for your team, have excellent communication skills and have the cultural awareness to manage a diverse workforce.
- Ability to work 5 days per week on a rotating 7 day roster, including after hours, weekends and public holidays.
- You have your Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) OR the ability to obtain one.
- Previous hotel experience would be advantageous.
