**Duties**:

- Lead your shift team, with your effective communication skills, and leading by example
- Share your passion for food & beverage with our upscale guests
- Assist with on-boarding and training new team members
- Strive to maintain the highest quality standards in food & beverage
- Undertake strict hygiene & safety practices and hold responsibility for your shift's financial performance

**Work Experience**:

- 2 years minimum experience in an upscale restaurant environment;
- LCQ Certificate & wine knowledge;
- Projects professional image at all times through strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport easily;
- Desire and ability to train and develop staff.

- Detailed description:_
- _ Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests._
- _ Provide for guests and patrons an experience and environment they feel meets their expectations._
- _ Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met._
- _ Maintain control of restaurant service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes._
- _ Maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the restaurant to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards._
- _ Ensure all mis-en-place is completed prior to guests arriving._
- _ Ensure staff are competent in dining menu and wine list knowledge and can maximise sales to guests._
- _ Ensure the front-of-house and back-of-house areas are clean and tidy._
- _ Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted._
- _ Use department procedure manuals as a base for all service procedures training._
- _ Properly induct new staff into the team, department and hotel in the first week of their employment._
- _ Ensure that all staff under your control carry out their duties in accordance with the service standards and procedures manuals to meet departmental I hotel service standards and brand standards._
- _ Effectively use the results of Guest Book and guest questionnaires to improve product and service delivery_
- _ Openly communicate with staff ensuring regular briefings occur and all relevant information is _passed onto staff._
- _ Delegate duties so all aspects of the shift are covered_
- _ Lead by example to maintain good staff morale._
- _ Manage staff within performance guidelines outlined in the handbook._
- _ Ensure that all staff adhere to the licence conditions held by the premise._
- _ Ensure responsible service of alcohol to all guests by staff._
- _ Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests._
- _ Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers (internal or external) are positive and productive._
- _ Establish and take all practicable steps to maintain safe working conditions and practices_
- _ Take a positive problem solving approach with issues and concerns; call the Manager on Duty if difficulties arise._
- _ Attend regular meetings with the Restaurant Manager._

- $29.66 - $31.14_
- Roster including weekend and public holidays_
