**The opportunity**
- Provide event facilitation advice to events happening on public open space in the Western Bay.
- Collaborate with multicultural communities to provide support with their events ideas
- Support council teams with delivery of council-led events, by providing advice, access to tools and equipment, and assistance with coordination and delivery for larger events.
- Actively seek opportunities to innovate and grow the local events sector through maintaining stakeholder relationships, building connections and having a strategic overview of events delivery and outcomes achieved across the district.
**To set you up for success, you'll have**
- Specific technical expertise in event delivery, including for large-scale events and community events.
- Experience facilitating and supporting community events, including advising on regulatory aspects and being a conduit into council for events organisers.
- The ability to think strategically and make connections between people, organisations, projects and outcomes.
- An understanding of community-led development and how to support the community to achieve their own aspirations.
- Experience in project delivery where several stakeholders are involved.
- The ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders that may come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives.
- The ability to persuade, support and influence the direction Council takes on events delivery.
- A tertiary qualification in events, or in a related field.
