**About the opportunity**

This is a newly established role as Procurement Manager in our company that offers the opportunity to define both processes and to add significant value to business. In this role you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will work with the entire Pan Pac company, including three operational divisions. Pan Pac provides sustainable, tailored forest products for domestic and overseas markets. We have significant procurement and contracting activity allowing you to provide diverse commercial advice to reduce risk and add value.

In your role you will take ownership of, enhance, and continuously improve our procurement processes and practices. A key focus will be to ensure our procurement processes adhere to company policy and align with best practice along with company strategy The positive relationships you create internally will allow you to elevate the importance of procurement to improve our bottom line. In external engagements you will advocate and negotiate for the company which will support and further progress your internal work.

As a result of the efficiencies, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment that you will establish and sustain in the procurement domain you will contribute significantly to the company.

**About you**

You have professional procurement expertise and have proven experience delivering substantial results.

You also have:

- A tertiary qualification in a related field such as: supply chain, business, engineering or science
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing or planning roles
- Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments
- Proven ability to develop and successfully implement policies, processes and strategies
- Experience using procurement systems
- Experience with supplier management
- The ability to work with and present to all levels in an organisation
- Strong interpersonal, relationship and influencing skills
- Experience using SAP (advantageous)
- Strong business acumen and experience with legal contracting
- Experience negotiating across a range of external suppliers
- The ability to proactively identify customers needs
- A solution and improvement focused approach
- Change management experience (advantageous)
