**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**
The Supply Chain Service Specialist is the primary support role for all sales, inventory movements, stock postings and adherence to the company’s stock keeping polices ensuring best in class procedural compliance.
Ensuring effective relationship and responsible behaviours are built and demonstrated between all service centres, functional departments and third-party providers will be crucial to the success of this role.
**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
Efficient management of warehousing operations, ensuring the following tasks are executed:
- Ensure sales orders are monitored through SAP to end delivery.
- Ensure credits are processed within the agreed timelines.
- Ensure warehouse stock accuracy through the approval and verification of the 3PL’s daily and weekly stocktake results prior to the 3PL personnel posting the final stocktake movements within their internal company system
- Manage BAT’s stock rotation policy by ensuring that our 3PL provider exercises “First in First Out”, F.I.F.O. stock keeping principles in respect to the movement of BAT stocks through the regular auditing of code dates of stock in both bulk and pick to light pick faces.
- Ensure all credit and debit note documentation returned from the market (where no physical stock is present) is consolidated daily and sent to Finance Shared Services for processing within SAP.
- Investigate and resolve all anomalies for both physical and systems-based stock discrepancies and, where a local resolution is not available, refer issues to appropriate Head Office personnel and ensure a resolution is achieved within a reasonable time.
- Responsible for notifying the NRS & Operations Manager of any incorrect packaging (non-conformances) identified.
- Ensure 3PL provider carries out weekly tobacco beetle inspections and ensures any reported tobacco beetle infestation is notified immediately to the NRS & Operations Manager or Head of Secondary Supply Chain if the NRS & Operations Manager is unavailable. Ensure remedial action is carried out to eliminate further infestation.
- Ensure all assigned SOx Requirements (Audits and Compliance needs) are fulfilled and actioned as required by the SOx timelines.
- Support the effective management of secondary supply chain warehousing operations by covering absenteeism of the Inventory Executive where required.
- Compile Internal Loss Reports for all customer delivery losses for BATNZ and notify BATNZ Finance and the NRS and Operations Manager for on charging to the 3PL provider.
- Maintain the Mate App, ensuring customer lists, NPIs, price changes, SKU swaps and delists are accurate and current.
- Monitor DIFOT daily report, investigating delivery discrepancies with DHL ensuring all orders delivered in full.
- Promptly investigate and resolve retailer error-in-order and short supply claims working with closely DHL, liaising with NRS and Operations Manager for decisions on discrepancies.
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Tertiary education in a marketing/business related discipline
- Highly developed self-awareness and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and independently establish priorities.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Prior field marketing or distribution experience specific to an FMCG organisation.
