**About the Role**

We have a great work opportunity for an experienced Operator to join our team in East Tamaki, Auckland.

In this role you will be assisting our team during the treatment and disposal of Medical and Biosecurity waste in a safe and responsible manner. The role will involve operating various plant and equipment and handling of medical & biosecurity waste

**Key Responsibilities of the position will include**:

- Washing bins and moving them to their designated location in busy Medical Plant.
- Moving (push and pull) full bins to Rotoclave - bins can weigh up to 200kgs
- Lifting containers - up to 20kgs
- Cleaning your area and other parts of the plant
- Palletising waste
- Lining bins
- Training will be provided to run and operate machines
- Participate and contribute in the monthly toolbox meetings
- Other duties as instructed by the Operations Supervisor

**To be successful in this role you must have**:

- Full NZ Driver’s license class 4 desirable, Forklift license desirable.
- First aid certificate (desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Knowledge of medical waste treatment & disposal

Vaccinations for Triex for Hepatitis A+B and Tetanus will be organised before commencing work.
