In this role you will provide accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis to drive value add opportunities and be a valued partner to a range of key stakeholders across the business.

You will have an advanced understanding of ERP systems, Excel modelling and Business Intelligence tools to maximise efficiencies from systems and reporting tools to generate business insights, and drive value add partnering services to stakeholders.

You can provide thought leadership and commercial analysis to the business particularly in the areas of operational drivers and trends, and financial results.

You will be an integral part of the AA Battery Service team collaborating with operational team members and supporting the business's needs, as well as leading the admin support team.

This is a commercially focused role and will require a very driven and resourceful person that is proactive in interrogating underlying drivers of performance to aid forward thinking and astute operational decisions.

**Key Responsibilities**

The purpose of the role is to create value for Club Assist and AA Battery Service by:

- Partnering the business to facilitate and develop annual sales and financial budgets.
- Partnering the business to forecast quarterly sales and financial results.
- Delivery of monthly reporting and board pack inclusive of sales and financial performance and analysis, ensuring quality and timeliness at all times.
- Presenting monthly results and other key insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Enter financial transactions in the ERP system and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
- Regular analysis of business performance identifying trends and opportunities for operational stakeholders to consider.
- Drive efficiencies in our systems and processes, exploring initiatives to eliminate manual or redundant tasks.
- Analyse financial and operational information in PowerBI to identify trends to add value to business decision making and opportunities.
- Challenge the status quo, always look for better ways to do what we do and new opportunities for business consideration.
- Staff management and delegation of tasks including balance sheet recs, AR collections, AP payments, and supporting them in their roles and other admin tasks.
- Liaising with NZ Ops team on ad hoc reporting requests and demonstrating patience with non-financial stakeholders.
- Closely partner with NZ GM on business analysis and reporting requests.

**Skills / Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, postgraduate studies a bonus.
- Ability to extract data out of financial & BI systems and analyse the data to provide valuable solutions.
- Outstanding Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Experience with large scale ERP systems, particularly Microsoft D365.
- Experience with Business Intelligence Tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience with Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting on behalf of the business.
- Providing value add initiatives as a finance business partner.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good business acumen for problem solving.
- Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience with leading people and delegation of tasks
