Our busy reconditioning hub processing a large number of all makes and models of Japanese second-hand passenger vehicles is looking to hire an enthusiastic, reliable and accountable **Groomer** (full time, permanent position) to be responsible for vehicle groom/valet, keep yard and premises clean and tidy, and assist with other daily tasks.

**Commencement Date**: As soon as possible OR on Work Visa approval by Immigration NZ
**Location**: Otahuhu Auckland 1062
**Days and Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
**Contract Type**: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours a week)
**Remuneration**: $30-32 per hour

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
In this role you would be reporting to Branch Manager and responsible for carrying out on daily basis:

- Cut & Polish cars (exterior: cut, polish, wax if/when required)
- Meet daily targets, quality expectations and required timeframe
- Before starting the groom or cut&polish perform checks on panel and paint work and report any blemishes
- Before starting the groom or cut&polish ensure that all surfaces match in texture of finish and colour
- Report any issues, faults and or defects to the Brach Manager
- Ensure each job is completed to the quality standard established by the company
- Carry out final inspection of own work to ensure that the required quality finish is achieved
- Move vehicles around and park them neatly
- Look for a new job assignment when the current job is nearing completion or is completed
- Aid, assist and help other staff when and as necessary
- Report when stock levels of chemicals and/or materials are getting low to Branch Manager
- Assist with the delivery and pick up of vehicles
- Assist with vehicle registrations
- Assist in pick-up of parts and supplies as required
- Keep yard, premises, facilities and office clean and tidy at all times
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards
- Always carry out Final Pre-Delivery Inspection of groomed vehicles
- Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to Branch Manager
- Report all hazards or potential hazards to Branch Manager
- Carry out all tasks to correct specifications and within the appropriate time-frames
- Maintain all tools and equipment used in your area in good working order
- Report any required equipment repairs to Branch Manager
- Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all workers
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times
- Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers, colleagues, team and managers
- Maintain a professional image through a high standard of appearance, behaviour, presentation of work and by wearing the uniform as prescribed
- Follow and carry out all reasonable instructions from management

**Requirements**:

- A positive attitude towards work
- Honesty, care, accountability and reliability
- Previous grooming/valet experience (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of the Automotive cleaning products and chemicals (desirable)
- Ability to follow instructions
- Current and clean Full NZ drivers’ licence
- Clean police record
- Ability to drive manual cars
- High level of physical fitness
- Attention to detail
- Availability to occasionally work on weekends
- Ability to deal with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

**Remuneration will be according to experience and qualifications.**
