**About the Role**

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Evaluation & Quality Lead is responsible for measuring and evaluating our impact to inform our theory of change and strategic planning. The Evaluation & Quality Lead is responsible for continual improvement of the evaluation framework and devising effective methods of collecting meaningful evidence to support Springboard Trust in our goal to be an evidence based and data-driven organisation.

The work of the Evaluation & Quality Lead will contribute to decisions across our services, funding, and programmes to positively impact on school leaders and their learning communities. This will also monitor the quality of our products, services and delivery, providing insights on potential improvements. These insights will incorporate sector intelligence. The role will propose informed ideas to pilot, and clear measures of success, to the leadership team with the support of the Customer Experience Lead and Volunteer Lead.

The role works collaboratively with the Springboard Trust team and external evaluation partners to build the credibility of Springboard Trust as an effective enabler for improving educational leadership and outcomes in schools.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Evaluation & Insights**
- Develop and maintain evaluation framework to assess impact of work done by SBT
- Manage external contractors to support in specialists areas of evaluation, to evaluate the impact of our programmes and services
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure evaluation opportunities are established and completed
- Provide initial insights based on data from evaluation frameworks
- Present complex information in an understandable/digestible and compelling manner

**Evaluation Development**
- Provide specialist evaluation knowledge to the development of new products and services, to support the development of appropriate success measures for each project
- Support the implementation of projects by partnering with schools during the development phase
- In collaboration with others, develop and implement evaluation systems and other strategies that optimise analysis efficiency and data quality.

**Systems & Data Analysis**
- Manage data integrity across the organisation, ensuring data is processed to enable analysis
- Support the development of systems and strategies that optimise data efficiency and quality
- Oversee the accurate collection, collation, analysis and interpretation of data.

**Reporting & Quality**
- Provide data at an organisational level for the purpose of organisational governance
- Manage the development and production of quarterly and annual reports (internal and external) to a high standard
- Ensure all of our products and services are at agreed quality standard.

- Ideally, tertiary qualifications with ability to design conceptual frameworks and maintain knowledge base of leading-edge thinking and research methodology
- Proven track record in carrying out credible and valid evaluation of programmes based on sound analytical principles
- Ability to develop rapport with survey and interview participants to elicit useful insights while also retaining independence of mind
- Ability to effectively consult and contract with internal, external and contractors
- Advanced analytical capability
- Superior communications skills
- Experience working both independently & collaboratively within a team, with diverse roles and responsibilities
- Good relationship management and customer service skills
- A good sense of humour and able to work at times under pressure to achieve agreed deadlines
