**Job Title**: Chinese Cook

**Location**: Lower Hutt, Wellington Region

**Employment Type**: Full-time

**Days required**: Monday to Sunday on shift

**Hours per week**: guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours a week, a maximum of 50 hours a week.

**Number of Vacancies**: 2 positions

**Key tasks & responsibilities**:

- Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine dishes are prepared to restaurant specifications.
- Ensuring all restaurant Chinese Cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met.
- Ensuring temperatures, seasonings and flavors are to specification.
- Ensuring all foods are presented and served in a timely manner and in the correct sequence.
- Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet restaurant and statutory Health and Safety requirements.
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
- Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu.
- General kitchen cleaning and hygiene duties.

**To be right for this role and our organization, you need**:

- Have at least 1 year experience in cooking Chinese cuisine.
- Adaptable to change and able to multi-tasks.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Be reliable and responsible.
