We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative senior Registered Nurse for the role of Nurse Educator - Ophthalmology, Surgical Services.
In this challenging and rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to further develop your great organisational skills and put your well-grounded clinical practice experience to good use. You will get to work collaboratively and innovatively within the Surgical Services teams and will assess and deliver on learning needs.
Alongside your colleagues, you will be fostering a positive work environment incorporating the Te Toka Tumai values to ensure the department is a great place to work

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To hit the ground running in this role it would be advantageous if you had;
- A commitment to biculturalism / achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
- Minimum of 3-4 years clinical experience within Ophthalmology,
- Proven clinical teaching/academic experience and programme development ability.
- Current Level 3 or 4 practice or equivalent on the PDRP pathway
- Postgraduate certificate / diploma in speciality nursing practice
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles
- Knowledge of nursing professional development issues
