**We currently have a vacancy for a Wastewater Treatment Operator to carry out operational and routine maintenance tasks, and mechanical repairs at both the Wellington Wastewater Treatment Plant.**

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- ** operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant**
- ** undertake general facility maintenance including installations and repairs**
- ** carry out plant operation sampling and testing**
- ** attend to plant and equipment breakdowns**
- ** take an active part in plant and equipment overhauls**
- ** keep and maintain accurate records**
- ** respond to emergency events**
- ** participate in an on-call roster**
- ** a strong commitment to Veolia Health & Safety standards**

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- ** Class 1 Driver Licence essential**
- ** has a Level 4 or 5 qualification in wastewater or relevant field**
- ** has more than 3 years’ experience as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator or similar experience in wastewater operation and maintenance**
- ** has excellent communication skills and enjoys working in a team with a focus on delivering excellent service to the community**
