At Manatū Hauora - Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.
The System Accountability and Settings team is part of the Strategy Group. We are responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Government Policy Statement on Health and other policy work to optimise system accountability settings and support a well-functioning health system.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
In this role you will help drive core components of our work programme - specifically leading components of the implementation of the Government Policy Statement on Health. You will also support senior health leadership and work to review and optimise health system accountability instruments and wider settings.
Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring
- Be able to support the delivery of projects and areas, working with others to ensure all work is well planned, using work planning tools and methods which includes taking strategic and tactical approaches to achieve results
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
- Tertiary qualification in a health or relevant field.
