About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

Reporting into one of our Network Planning Managers, you will use your experience, spatial analysis and storytelling skills to help inform our business on where to open new stores while considering where we should be expanding, replacing or renewing our existing network of stores.

You will be working closely with our DNA (Data, Network & Analytics) & Property teams, using the latest market trends, store / spatial data and models to develop our multi channel (instore / eCom) network for the future. As well as this, you will identify opportunities to deliver new formats that address market gaps and unlock eCommerce capacity for the future. You will also be supporting the development and delivery of our integrated points of presence plan (Woolworths Group multi-brand network location strategy).

In this role, key responsibilities will be:

- Develop & share expertise across Woolworths Group, delivering the Network Planning Assessment Framework for priority Woolworths new store & renewal projects.
- Support the development of our state network strategies and new space pipeline, utilising regional market, customer loyalty & industry activity data
- Build and manage relationships across the business to enable collaboration within an agile working environment.
- Collaborate with all business units to help embed network location strategy, opportunity assessments and ways of working.
- Identify and assess customer focused new market growth opportunities and provide market opportunity assessment studies (including sales & impacts forecasting), to inform investment decisions.
- Forecast financial / non financial outcomes resulting from network changes and competitor impacts.
- Will require site visits to inform site opportunity assessments (3-5 days per month)

**About You | Mou
We are looking for someone with experience of network or location planning and ambition to grow
- A passion for location analysis and new store site selection, with a strategic, analytical mindset that helps you to solve complex business problems.
- Previous experience forecasting new store sales (including eCommerce) for food, drinks and/ or general merchandise retailers using spatial data and GIS based tools (e.g. MapInfo).
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication and storytelling skills and an ability to work effectively within a team environment, within an Agile organisational structure.
- Degree or Postgraduate qualifications in Geography, Town planning, Economics, Commerce, Spatial Science, Statistics majors or similar preferred (but not essential).
