**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
In Supply Planning, we are responsible for supplier management and effective distribution centre purchasing for internationally and locally-sourced products, ensuring optimised inventory levels whilst delivering positive service outcomes for our stores and customers. Our team is made up of Woolworths NZ Supply Planner's and Integrated Supply Planners.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Supply Planning Manager to be responsible for maximising stock availability for local and overseas supplied products at the DC, while minimising inventory and managing network constraints. Working collaboratively across the team, you will be entrusted with ensuring delivery on an aligned supply plan to fulfil 100% demand.
Key responsibilities include
- Oversee the management of ordering processes, ensuring that accurate orders are produced in a timely manner, that the order processing at our suppliers follows set lead times and that stock is delivered into our DC in full and on time
- Lead and mentor a self starting, proficient team with root cause analysis of all availability issues, and adept at implementing appropriate resolutions to avoid future issues occurring.
- Fostering a culture of proactive communication amongst internal and external planning teams, ensuring all availability issues are identified early and appropriate actions are in place to manage efficiently
- Ensure inventory policies are fact based and accurately reflect market variability, delivering maximum coverage with minimum inventory employed
- Support the wider replenishment team as required with knowledge sharing training and upskilling of team member as required for their job
- Create and drive long term strategies that support availability through our network for seasonal and non seasonal periods, always keeping the customer front of mind
**About You | Mou
**You are a strong communicator, a forward planner in every sense, and able to influence and demonstrate leadership in business planning and collaboration sessions.
You have a sound understanding of supply planning and maintain awareness of forecast performance and the impact on supply situation, ensuring alignment of demand forecast to the market environment, trends and seasonal fluctuations.
You will foster a Customer First culture, leading by example according to our core Values and Ways of Working.
Desirable attributes, knowledge and experience will include:
- Experience in Supply Chain Operations (DC, Replenishment, and Forecasting)
- Experience in FMCG/Retail or other fast moving goods environment
- 3+ years of management experience in leading a team
- Proven record of project and change management implementation
- A comprehensive knowledge of international supply chains into New Zealand
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence multiple cross-functional stakeholder groups
- Knowledge of supply and/or demand planning methods and systems eg JDA, SAP or other software related to Supply Chain Planning
