The Antarctic Science Platform (ASP) is a Strategic Science Investment, funded by the MBIE. This capability fund is designed to enhance collaboration and innovation within New Zealand’s Antarctic science community and to deliver research that supports environmental management and policy outcomes.

**Mō te mahi | About the role**:
This role supports the success of the Antarctic Science Platform by providing high quality coordination and administration, and being the interface for the different groups contributing to, and collaborating with, the Platform.

This is a fixed-term role to provide administrative resource to the team, through until the conclusion of the funding period - 30 June 2025.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Coordinate internal and external reporting processes, such as reports, newsletters and timetables
- Ensure the interests of both the Antarctic Science Platform and Antarctica New Zealand are met.

**Mōu | About you**:
We are looking for someone with experience working in the NZ science sector, and passion for providing quality coordination and administrative support.

**Skills and Experience Include**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary training, preferably in a relevant science discipline
- At least five years’ administration experience, preferably in a scientific research organisation or tertiary education setting
- Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Attention to detail, particularly in quality record keeping, spreadsheeting and organisation
- Pro-active, taking ownership of tasks and anticipates needs
