**About the Role**
The Compliance Advisor role will require you to partner with Electricity and Gas NZ operational teams, and their Senior Leadership team in various regions in NZ. You will provide advice and support for compliance and operational excellence in quality assurance requirements. Your success in this role will be heavily dependent upon your ability to influence, effectively communicate and build very strong working relationships with your key stakeholders.

You will partner with the operational teams and their managers across NZ to deliver assurance performance excellence in their operations and for their clients. Our client has high expectations in relation to process compliance, so you must build good habits and a strong culture of discipline within the team to meet these expectations. You should have a high degree of visibility to your team and your client contacts. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

- Provide support and coaching to the business related to client and accreditation authority audit requirements
- Monitor with SHEQ Advisors & Business Manager, Electricity & Gas NZ multi-level audit and inspection schedule around requirements and compliance to Ventia standards, ISO, IANZ and ACC accreditations
- Conduct internal audits wherever required, ensuring risk mitigation and improvements are the key focus, trending and inspection findings are shared

**About You**
Your solid project / contract-based quality management background, plus your strong-will & enthusiastic personality will help you to succeed in this role. A desire for quality and compliance along with an ability to deal with lots of different types of people both within your team and amongst your client contacts are essential.

Your track record as a coach/ mentor of people will ensure that your team has a clear understanding of best practices and is provided with technical advice when required. Your diligence and attention to detail will guarantee that contract deliverables including periodic document reviews are met on time. A strong, courageous personality and excellent communication skills are key to your success in this role along with the following:

- Substantial quality assurance/ lead auditor experience in a similar role, preferably knowledge on the infrastructure industry
- Ability to maintain an accredited Quality System
- Experience in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Previous experience in project / contract-based quality management
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal, written and report writing
